We love to hold events where people can come together to share food.
We create opportunities to cook together and share knowledge, experience and culture whilst generating funds for both Team Canteen and our partner organisations.

During 2021, Team Canteen operated as a physical space at Breaking Bread (a largely outdoor socially distanced hospitality venue set up in response to Covid). It had a fully kitted kitchen and an ample dining area, the space was available to independent businesses and charities at cost or for free, and hosted frequent pop-up evenings celebrating a diverse range of cuisines.

In February 2022 Team Canteen hosted a Sunday Lunch Fundraiser in conjunction with 91 Ways who are a community-focused social enterprise named after the number of different languages spoken in the city. The event celebrated the launch of their cookbook ‘Eat Share Love’ - a collection of 91 beautiful recipes and the compelling personal stories behind them. More info about 91 Ways here.

Team Canteen has a presence at a number of festivals to raise awareness about issues surrounding food vulnerability and generate funds for our work.
In 2022 we were part of the The Information area at the first edition of FORWARDS, Bristol. Team Canteen had its own coffee shop and introduced a discussion between Jack Munroe and Jay Rayner where they considered 'The State of Food'.
Keep your eyes peeled for Team Canteen at festivals in 2023!
